SQAS Internal Auditor Training - Become an In-House Expert

The Safety & Quality Assessment for Sustainability (SQAS) Internal Auditor Training will take place on 18–19 March 2026 and will be held online. It is designed to build expertise within companies, enabling participants to not only prepare effectively for SQAS assessments but also to analyse and interpret SQAS assessment reports. 

 

The goal of the training is to empower companies with the internal capability to manage SQAS compliance and continuously improve safety, quality, security, and sustainability performance. 

 

This comprehensive online training provides full coverage of all SQAS modules and topic areas, allowing participants to: 

  • Understand assessment expectations 
  • Identify potential gaps 
  • Implement corrective actions 
  • Use report findings to drive continuous improvement 

 

Who Should Attend? 

  • Personnel with responsibility for SQAS implementation, coordination, or follow-up in assessed companies (e.g. transport companies, tank cleaners, warehouses, container depots, rail companies, and distributors) 
  • Members of the SQAS Logistics & Distributors Service Group 
  • Members of the SQAS Service Group (Chemical Companies) 
  • ESAD member companies 
  • Independent consultants and industry professionals
     

Participation Fees, Recommended Background, and Certification 

 

All registered* participants who complete the training and pass the final exam will receive a certificate. 

The validity of the certificate corresponds to the validity period of the 2025 SQAS Questionnaire.

Recommended Background 

 

To ensure participants gain the maximum benefit from the SQAS Internal Auditor Training, it is recommended that they have at least one of the following backgrounds: 

  • Experience in internal or external auditing
  • Training or practical experience in quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, RCMS)
  • DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser) certificate
  • Previous involvement in SQAS assessments (as host, coordinator, or support staff) 

 

Participants without the above experience are still welcome but are encouraged to familiarise themselves with basic audit principles and the SQAS Questionnaires beforehand. 

 

Training Format 

 

The training is online with a duration of two days and covers SQAS modules including Core, Transport Service, Warehouse, Tank Cleaning, Container Depot, ESAD, and more. The course is delivered through presentations, interactive discussions, and practical examples, and the final exam is conducted online via Microsoft Forms or Moodle. The language of instruction is English.
