Logistics Service Providers and Distributors

Want to play an active role in shaping the future of SQAS while strengthening your company’s visibility and network within the chemical supply chain?

More than 800 logistics service providers and distributors are assessed through SQAS every year. Of these, more than 100 are members of the Logistics Service Providers and Distributors (L&D) User Group.

The L&D Group is a community of companies that provide logistics services or distribute chemicals and are assessed under SQAS. It brings these companies together so they can share their experience and help improve how the SQAS system works in practice.

Members of the group take part in discussions about SQAS rules, guidance, and assessment questionnaires, and can contribute to how the system is developed over time. This includes involvement through SQAS decision-making groups such as the Technical & Accreditation (T&A) Committee and the Executive Committee.

The L&D Group works alongside other SQAS user communities, such as chemical companies (SQAS Service Group and ESAD users group). It ensures that the perspective of logistics providers, including transport operators, tank cleaning companies, and chemical distributors, is considered in SQAS decisions and improvements.

Why join the L&D Group

Influence & Representation

Join the L&D Group to have a say in how SQAS evolves, through potential representation in the SQAS T&A Committee and Executive Committee. This gives assessed companies a direct voice in priorities, such as questionnaire updates and guidance clarifications that affect assessments.

Practical guidance & peer learning

Through exclusive, free-of-charge training and Q&A sessions, members access practical interpretations of requirements that support assessment preparation and lead to improved scoring.

Automatic access to Tank Cleaning reports

Membership in the L&D Group includes automatic access to SQAS Tank Cleaning assessment reports. This allows logistics providers and distributors to review the quality and compliance status of tank cleaning stations without extra subscriptions or separate requests. It simplifies supplier qualification, supports safety and hygiene standards, and reduces administrative effort when planning or auditing cleaning operations

Early insight into changes

Members gain early visibility of upcoming changes and the opportunity to shape clarifications before they go live.

Pathways to leadership

Through formal election procedures for L&D seats on the SQAS T&A Committee and Executive Committee, engaged companies can step on leadership roles and help steer priorities that matter to logistics and distributors.

Collaboration

Collaborate and share best practices with other companies.

“At KATOEN NATIE we strongly support SQAS as a standard for all our sites, setting industry values and requirements, which are frequently updated and are evaluated by specialised accessors who not only check paperwork but also verify the practical implementation at the workplace.”
