Become an accredited SQAS Assessor: In-Person Training
Become an accredited SQAS Assessor: In-Person Training
Join us in Brussels from 19–21 May 2026 to become an Accredited Assessor for the Safety & Quality Assessment for Sustainability (SQAS).
Assessing risks and taking preventive actions are critical in logistics and transportation to protect the environment, the public, and a company’s reputation. Proper transportation, handling, and storage help prevent accidents and ensure compliance with legislation. At the same time, promoting safe practices builds trust with stakeholders and contributes to broader sustainability goals.
SQAS, an initiative by Cefic, is a voluntary assessment system that evaluates the safety, health, security, environmental, and quality performance of logistics service providers, including road and rail carriers, tank cleaning stations, distributors, and warehouses. Assessments are carried out by accredited SQAS Assessors.
What can you expect from this Cefic training?
- A uniform and consistent interpretation of the assessment questionnaires across all assessors, regardless of background or country;
- A shared assessment standard concerning legislative requirements and industry benchmarks related to safety, health, environment, security, quality, and corporate social responsibility (CSR);
- Accreditation to carry out SQAS audits in a designated territory (typically one or two countries).
The training will be held in person in Brussels. The venue details will be shared with registered participants in due course. Participation is complimentary, subject to confirmation of registration. Candidates are required to meet the following pre-requisites:
- Evidence of at least five years of proven and relevant Safety and/or Health and/or Environmental and/or Quality auditing experience in the transport & logistics field (ISO lead auditor certification is no longer mandatory);
- DGSA certificate.
For further information, please refer to the prerequisites in the accreditation manual.
